Welcome to Kapiti Coast ArtStay  Your hosts Peter Augustin, an Artist, and his partner Peter Muller, along with the additional hosts, Lupa the dog, and Bukovsky the ginger cat, welcome you to the Peka Peka Region.  Enjoy our beautiful rural location with panoramic views of the Hemi Matenga Hills behind and the gentle slopes of Kapiti farmland towards the sea.
	Our B&B Verena Cottage accommodates 1- 4 persons (2 couples) and is a modern unit separate from the main house containing 2 rooms, one bedroom has a queen bed, the other is setup as a living room with a queen sofa bed, Sky TV, seating and table, and tea and coffee facilities.  The bathroom, with shower, is located between the rooms. There’s a balcony with a view of our garden and the main house, where you’re most welcome, is connected by a covered walkway.  Peter Augustin speaks fluent Swiss German, German, Italian, French and Slovenian.
Location  We are located off State Highway 1, Peka Peka Road, 500 metres and first  left into Kensington Drive, then next left to our house.  We are 1 km from Peka Peka Beach, 3 km from the local small town of Waikanae. We have 1 hectare (2.5 acres) of rolling hills planted in olives and fruit trees.  Wellington City is approximately 45 minutes by car or one hour by train from Paraparaumu, 15 minutes away.
	Room Rates  We rent the cottage to one person or group at a time, so it’s all to you.  Rates per night including continental breakfast, single $115, double $150, extra per person $35.  Weekly rates on application. Activities  You can just come and stay with us and enjoy the local beaches, walkways, cycleways, venues and restaurants.  Or, you can get involved with painting. We offer a learn to paint program, make your own painting, materials provided. Take home your own painting after a few hours in Peter Augustin’s Studio.
