Fifteen minutes to central Auckland with a frequent bus service and a pleasant outlook to native bush reserve across the valley. There are at least six east coast white-sand beaches within ten minutes drive and the wild west coast surf beaches 40 minutes drive away.

Situated high up on the North Shore yet within easy reach of the central city, you can enjoy the quietness of the suburb or the excitement of the city centre. It is also the gateway to the winterless north with all its climate and history.

There is an excellent local shopping village with gyms and all other facilities close by.

Your active and community-oriented host welcomes you into his warm. sunny, spacious and modern home. I have a very good knowledge of my city and country and can assist you in making decisions about where to go and what to do.
I am involved with gay groups and, depending on your timing, can invite you to share in their meetings - lunches, classical music, film, gardens, social, naturist, business.

I have been involved with HIV issues since 1985 and am a life member of the New Zealand AIDS Foundation. I am fortunate to have received a Queens Service Medal honour for my work in the gay community including running our gay telephone counselling service for 12 years

My interests include gardening, socialising, Apple computing, classical music, cooking, music and genealogy.

Your bedroom with its comfortable bed, is large and light with your own full bathroom, wireless internet,
phone and desk, and overlooks the garden.

No electric blanket needed here, although one is available if desired.
You are welcome to enjoy the comfortable
lounge with its wide-screen television and DVD player.
You can also enjoy the large, very private garden which is still in the process of development - or the sunny deck.

There is off-street parking and a bus stop to the city 25 metres from the door. Also a good, cheap bus connection from the airport to the central city from where I can pick you up by car.

$70.00 single or $95.00 double.
Includes continental breakfast.

A full cooked breakfast is available for an extra $10.00.
Dinner can be provided if desired for an extra $20.00/$25.00 -
2/3 courses and wine.
Tea/coffee/bikkies are continuously available.
Payment is by cash or internet banking only, preferably
payable on the evening of arrival.
