Kahikatea Lodge Homestay was designed and built in 2008 as a luxury home. Set approximately 300 metres from the main road through electric gates and behind the beautiful Wairere Nursery, the home sits on two acres of beautifully landscaped gardens designed, created and planted exclusively by the owners.

As you pass the nine-metre salt water swimming pool, you will look out onto the protected stand of kahikateas filled with native wildlife along with wild peacocks. 

At the opposite end of the grounds, you will find a large pergola to relax in. Draped in wisteria and grapevines, the pergola supports outside dining and is set off by the beautiful rose garden surrounding it. In such a beautiful setting, you cannot help but feel relaxed and at home.

Your host Tim Allingham , along with Louis the schnoodle and Tilly the spoodle, welcome you into their home and hope that you take as much pleasure from it during your visit as they do living there

Tim moved to NZ in 2004 from the UK and is now a NZ citizen. He now works part time facilitating groups for male offenders of domestic violence. The Lodge and its gardens were designed by himself and his late partner Warren as a family home and he welcomes you to come and enjoy the location and the atmosphere. Tim enjoys sports, travel and meeting people.
