Hilltop On High Street Bed & Breakfast is one of Dunedin's finest accommodation houses, it is a city haven of splendour and sophistication. Situated on one of Dunedin’s most historical streets, this prominent landmark heritage home is a grand statement in Edwardian architecture and modern chic.

Enjoy uninterrupted panoramic views of Dunedin city and harbour from every room. Each room is elegantly appointed with contemporary designs and furnishings, yet traditional features such as ornate plaster ceilings, coloured leadlight windows, a sweeping staircase and tiled fireplaces are retained throughout. The stylish surroundings are complemented by landscaped gardens designed and created by the owner Rodney McDonald. The gardens provide sanctuary, privacy and relaxation in this urban dwelling. 

Accommodation includes complimentary WiFi or use of the guest laptop. Phone services, off street parking and laundry facilities are also available. Whether making a cup of coffee or preparing a home cooked meal, guests have full access to the modern kitchen and dining facilities. 

Continental breakfast is included or choose the optional extra of a home cooked hot breakfast.

The living area boasts a 57inch LCD screen with surround sound and an extensive DVD collection to watch at your own leisure or just relax and unwind in the spacious guest rooms. Rooms include en-suite or private bathroom expect The Den has a shared bathroom. Other shared facilities are the kitchen, dining room, living room, gardens and laundry, The Salmond, The Shaw and The Den rooms have direct access to the 1st floor balcony. Our environmental practices include solar hot water heating, double glazing throughout, recycling and composting garden and food waste for the vegetable garden.
