Koromiko Homestay

Stay in an 'architectural curiosity' - with stunning harbour views, central heating, fast 
continuous access 'cable/ broadband' internet.
The house is multilevel and faces north. It has 'all day sun', three decks and a lawn for 
private sunbathing, drinks etc. - and two 'outdoor baths'. We have two double guest 
rooms with queen sized beds, and one single room. 

A 30 minute pleasant downhill walk or a short $10 taxi ride takes you to the city centre. 
Note that taxi fares to the airport and railway/bus station are approx. $28 and $15 
respectively. 

For us a 'homestay' is not the same as a Guesthouse or B&B. As our guest you are 
welcomed as part of our extended 'family' - like having friends to stay. 

Our local knowledge will enhance your holiday in New Zealand. We can help you find 
activities and attractions, recommend restaurants and much more. 

Caution: We live on a steep hillside - the top level of the house is 100 steps uphill from 
the street below. The only parking is on the street. If you have personal mobility 
problems, require secure covered parking, or dislike driving on narrow roads 
(15kph speed limit), you may wish to seek alternative accommodation. 

Rooms
The house is multilevel and faces north. It has 'all day sun', three decks and a lawn

We have two double guest rooms with queen sized beds, and one single room. 
You can expect a comfortable, attractive bedroom. Your bathroom is shared with other 
guests. We provide a continental 'help yourself' breakfast. Tea and coffee making 
facilities are always available. The lounge and dining area with it's amazing views over 
the city is shared with us and other guests. 

You are also welcome to enjoy an evening hot bath in the garden - surrounded by the sky, 
the weather, and plants - with the lights of central Wellington below.

Rates
One person NZ$80 (GST included) two people (queen sized bed) $130, per
night.
Discounted rates for stays longer than 5 nights.
Credit cards (Visa/ Mastercard) accepted, discounted rates ($75/ $120)
for cash payment.

Price includes continental breakfast (range of cereals, homemade jams/
yoghurt, fresh fruit, bread, orange juice, teas and plunger coffee) and
internet / WiFi access.
Evening meal by arrangement $25 per person - includes wine.

Prices valid until June 30, 2011

If a booking is cancelled, and we have turned others away, and we are unable to re-let the room, 
a cancellation charge equivalent to the cost of  the booking may apply.... 
but we will always try hard to re-let the room to avoid this.


Directions
Location: 11 Koromiko Road, Highbury, Wellington, New Zealand. 
Driving directions: Aro Street, Raroa Road, turn left on hill ‘S’ bend into 
Mt Pleasant Road, wind up the hill for 0.5 km, take first turn on the right, follow around 
onto Koromiko Road - #11 up steps behind green and purple letterbox. 
No parking zone (yellow road marks) on corner.
