Russell Bed and Breakfast offers bed and breakfast accommodation with easy access to nearby swimming beaches and bush walks and only 15 minutes drive from Russell. 

Enjoy the quiet bush setting overlooking the magnificent Te Hurihi Bay. Watch the sunrise, listen to the tuis, moreporks (native owls) and the gentle splash of mullet in the bay, go kayaking and who knows - dolphins may even visit chasing their daily meal...

There are two types of bed and breakfast accommodation both located at Te Hurihi Bay on our property for you to choose from:

The Bach Studio is a fully self contained, open plan cottage that sleeps two double/one single with its own private entry and deck with beautiful views of the Bay – a traditional kiwi experience!

We also offer traditional bed and breakfast accommodation in our home. We have two double rooms with their own private entry and deck and you can choose from the Kingfisher Room or the Beach Hut Room.

How to find us
From Whangarei via Coast road: turnoff at Whakapara 10 mins north of Whangarei/Kamo – turn right onto Russell Road signposted Oakura/Russell.
Stay on sealed road following signs to Russell approx 60 mins to Russell Bed and Breakfast . Drive past Taupiri Bay through Te Uenga, Waipiro Bay and next big bay is Te Hurihi Bay and at top of the hill look for Kingfisher Point Road on right. Russell Bed & Breakfast, Jacks Bay is 150m along road on right.

From Whangarei via Opua car ferry: Stay on State Highway 1 until Kawakawa and follow signs to Paihia/Russell (SH 11) until you get to Opua turnoff on right (approx 10 mins from Kawakawa)
At Opua cross on car ferry and on other side follow road towards Russell (5 mins). At intersection of Aucks & Russell Road turn right. (if you find yourself in Russell you have gone too far)
Stay on sealed road following signs to Jacks Bay/Rawhiti until you get to Jacks Bay (approx 15 mins) and at top of hill turn left into Kingfisher Point Road. Russell Bed & Breakfast, Jacks Bay is 150m on right.
