Westway offers an opportunity to "take a holiday from your holiday." Relax in comfortable tranquil surroundings, make yourself at home and enjoy excellent food and wine with us.
Westway is situated in a quiet West Coast valley with indigenous rainforest and abundant native birdlife on the doorstep. Our guests may choose to relax in our large garden or enjoy walks in the surrounding native bush. Complimentary transport around the area is provided, and we are happy to show you the sights.
Westway is within an easy drive of two of the West Coast's major annual events — the Kumara Races and the Wildfoods Festival.
The Kumara Races are an historic race meeting held in mid-January. The major race is the Kumara Gold Nuggets — first prize is a real gold nugget. Not just a day at the races, this is a great time for a picnic and a family day out.
The Wildfoods Festival is a truly unique West Coast experience. Stallholders provide you with the opportunity to sample every wild food on the Coast, from venison sausages to Huhu grubs plucked from rotting wood. This annual event.
We are happy to provide you with transport to and from these events.
