| Hosts Philip & Ian Having been running a lodge for a couple of years we decided that we wanted to open a smaller more intimate accommodation business, which offered a sense of indulgence at an affordable price. We searched for a suitable property and were amazed and delighted when we found this unique building, in a private location yet with easy access to State Highway One. Designed in the French style the property offers privacy and seclusion yet is close enough to Whangarei for easy access to its award-winning restaurants, bars and marina. We want to open our home to guests, not just provide a bed for the night. For them to feel it is a home from home, to share life's stories and to help them get the most out of this wonderful part of New Zealand. |

So whether it's the wonderful beaches, New Zealand history or simply a place to unwind and relax, the villa offers a tranquil setting from which to experience Northland. With the amazing Tutakaka coastline to explore, voted the second best coastline in the WORLD by National Geographic Traveller, you can step back in time to a New Zealand too often lost to developers, where you can find secluded beaches and bays, stunning scenery and a range of activities to meet just about everyone's interests. With the Bay of Islands less than an hour away on the east coast and the magnificant Kauri forests on the west coast, not to mention the infamous Uretiti beach just 40 minutes to the south, there is enjoyment to be had close at hand. | Location Villa Bon Vue is 15 minutes north of Whangarei and only 1 km off State Highway One. The house is nestled in rolling countryside with spectacular views over the plain to Mount Hikurangi. With French doors leading off all the ground floor rooms the villa offers panoramic vistas and private access to the downstairs bedrooms.

Accommodation available The villa has three room options available: The Kauri suite, a private suite with king size bed, ensuite facilities and separate lounge with DVD movies available. An ipod docking facility is provided in the bedroom. This suite is situated on the upper floor. $150 per night, including cooked or continental breakfast The Totara room, a large double aspect ground floor room with king size bed and ensuite facilities. An ipod docking facility is available in the bedroom. $130 per night, including cooked or continental breakfast. The Rimu room, a king single room on the ground floor with own toilet and handbasin adjacent, shared shower facilties. $80 per night including cooked or continental breakfast. |
Payment can be via Credit card, internet banking or cash. A credit card payment for deposit is required. Cancellations have a significant impact on a small business, so cancellations made 7 days or less prior to the first night will incur a 50% cancellation charge, based on the total period booked. Cancellation 48 hours or less will incur 100% charge, so we recommend travel insurance. All guests are welcome to share our lounge where they can watch a wide range of DVDs, listen to music or just relax with us and our other guests. The villa has wireless broadband, tea and coffee available all day, hairdryers and beach towels. Although Whangarei offers a wide range of dining options, dinner is available at the villa on request. The charge is $50 per person and includes a starter, main course and a fruit selection, together with a choice of wines during the meal. All GLBT and friends warmly welcomed. |
